There are 3 exams, Part I, Part II and Part III as follows:

Part One

I do not charge for Training in Part 1 as all the books and CD's you will need are readily available from the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). I will advise you on the most suitable books to get. I am always available for a chat over coffee or phone call/email to guide you through this stage.

• Order a copy of the ADI starter pack from the Driving Standards Agency.

• Arrange for a Criminal Records Check (CRB) - instructions are in the pack. If you have points on your licence you will need to check procedure with the DSA.

• Apply to DSA for registration - form is included in the pack

• Take Exam - tick test of 100 questions & a Hazard Perception Test which is completed on computer

Part two

• Study/Practice - this can be anything from 4hr to 15/20hrs - average for my trainees is 9hrs

• One hour Driving Test which is tested at a very high standard

• Part two training charged at £30 per hour - payable as you go - nothing 'up front'!

Part three

• Study/Practice - training on this part can take 40hrs, plus lots of private practice at home

• Take exam - a one hour practical exam on Ability to Teach

• Part three training charged at £30 per hour - payable as you go - nothing 'up front'!
