Who I Am - and - Verifiable COMMENDATIONS
I am based in Ashford Kent, so your training will be in that area - Ashford, Maidstone, Folkestone. It is not unusual to travel for up to 1 hour to train with a good trainer, sessions can be 2 or 3 hours to make it worth your travel time. You can improve your driving as you travel!!
My philosophy has always been that training must be adaptable to suit the trainee and that a fun lesson is good, while a stressful one is not. Hence a sense of humour in the car helps!!
That is not to say that there will not be any pressure on you, qualifying is not easy. My trainees tell me that I am quite strict - I do expect you to do your best at what is asked of you.
I am ORDIT (Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers) Registered. This involves an inspection of records and training methods by The Driving Standards Agency.

If I knew when I started just how good Jim’s training would be I don’t think I would have been apprehensive at all when I decided to become an ADI. Relaxed and friendly are two of the things that struck me about the training and I must say that I enjoyed all of it. '' I didn't start my ADI training with Jim and wasn't getting very far. After a failed attempt at part three, Jim was recomended to me.We clicked straight away and he pointed out that a lot of which I had been tought was not entirely correct. Needless to say I passed with Jims support and now realy enjoying the job. I found his instruction easy to understand, and we had a laugh while learning.
